The show walks through the most significant works of the great Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, a magical journey navigating through his characters and stories. His theater, poems, and songs are uniquely intertwined under the aroma of a Spanish guitar and the broken voice of flamenco. Actors with different nationalities and accents will set up a performance that will bring the audience closer to the soul of the acclaimed writer and poet. Humor, surprises, pain, and sorrow converge in a show aimed to keep Lorca’s work and passion for the theater alive. This show will be performed entirely in Spanish. The production manager is Lianne Gregori, and the cast is as follows: Aniluli Muñecas Anna Sobero Shakti Maal Odel Iglesias Francisco Porras Eliú Ramos Jorge Gordillo Carlos Fabian Medina Roderick Randle Felipe Carvajal, guitar player Lorca: Flamenco y Contemporáneo runs November 29 – December 15. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 5 pm. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for students, seniors, (65+) and military personnel. Theatre League/Industry $20 with i.d. at the door only. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.mainstreetplayers.com, or at the door 60 minutes prior to showtime.
