The Frank, together with the City of Pembroke Pines, is celebrating National Arts in Education Week, September 8-14. During National Arts in Education Week, the field of arts education joins together in communities across the country to tell the story of the impact of the transformative power of the arts in education. An advocate for the arts, Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank C. To celebrate this special week, The Frank is offering free daily activities from Tuesday, September 10 through Saturday, September 14. Participants must be 6 years and older. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is required. The schedule of free activities includes: • Art + Movies: Film Screenings from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy movies such as Big Eyes, Quartet and Billie Elliot. Free popcorn included.
• Abstract Painting Workshops from 2 to 4 p.m. A hands-on experience of painting like Picasso, Pollock and more.
