Panels
Healthy Aging: The Correct Care for the Correct Patient
Ensuring older adults get the right care, in the right place, at the right time is complicated, especially when one factors in cost-effectiveness. In this session we’ll review various healthcare delivery models and insurance coverage options, including home- and community-based services, long-term care and congregate living, guardianship, Medicaid and more.

Participants:
Moderator: Jeff Johnson, AARP Florida, State Director
Florida State Representative David Borrero, District 111
Gabriel Parra, The Arc of South Florida, Executive Director/CEO
Yolanda Herrera, The Arc of South Florida, Parent & Advocate

Financial Stability & Consumer Protection
A lifetime of employment doesn’t protect individuals from the uncertainties of Inflation, health- and housing-related stresses, family dynamics and more as they age. In addition, older adults tend to be particularly vulnerable to fraud and abuse by powers of attorney and family members, as well as other financial risks and financial exploitation.

Participants:
Moderator: Latasha Moore, United Way Miami, Director of Center for Financial Stability
Florida State Senator Ileana Garcia, District 36
Deanza Valencia, AARP, Government Affairs Director
No cost to attend. Breakfast provided.
