More than 20 years have elapsed since the U.S. brokered a peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians; three presidents have since tried and failed. Martin Indyk, former U.S. ambassador to Israel and special envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in 2013, returns to the man who created the Middle East peace process, showing that Kissinger’s design for Middle East peacemaking is key to comprehending how – and how not – to make peace.
