Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami / Le Corsaire Suite

The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami presents, “Le Corsaire Suite”, on Saturday, June 11, at 8:00 pm. at the Miami Dade County Auditorium.

In this classic performance the CCBM will highlight excerpts from one of the most musical and visually exotic ballets of the 19th century, “Le Corsaire” Suite a tale of Sultans, princesses, maidens and pirates, with a libretto based on the poem The Corsair by Lord Byron.

The ballet has many celebrated passages which are often extracted and performed independently – the scene Le Jardin Animé, the Pas d’Esclave, the Grand Pas de Trois des Odalisques, and the most celebrated Le Corsaire Pas de Deux which is among classical ballet’s most iconic and performed excerpts
