With the goal of providing vital health care information and services to the South Florida community, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Medical Campus will once again host its annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, Feb. 26 starting at 9 a.m. The Fair is free and open to the public.
Now in its 13th edition, the popular event will offer an array of medical services including glucose and cholesterol tests, dental and vision screenings. In addition, attendees will get information on nutrition, heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer prevention and may participate in a blood drive. The fair will also include the Children’s Corner with face painting, balloons, a bounce house, arts and crafts, as well as a Stress Relief Zone with free chair massages and other amenities.
The Medical Campus’ annual Community Health Fair serves more than 2,000 people each year. For many of those served it is the only medical attention and/or treatment they receive the entire year. It has truly become a vital resource and community treasure.
