Flutter over to the Museum of Discovery and Science’s Food Forest for a Butterfly Release, presented by Truly Nolen Pest Control, during our Asian-Pacific American Heritage Celebration!

Immerse yourself in the magic of nature while exploring the vital role these delicate pollinators play in our ecosystems and cultural heritage. From their humble beginnings as caterpillars to their breathtaking transformation into vibrant butterflies, learn about each step of their fascinating life cycle. Celebrate the beauty of these creatures and the Asian-Pacific traditions that honor them. Then, watch in awe as they take their first flight into the Florida sky—a true spectacle of nature’s design. It’s love at first flight, and an experience you won’t want to miss.

Children can also visit and investigate ocean marvels in MODS’ latest traveling exhibit, Voyage to the Deep – Underwater Adventures. “Seas” the day and embark on the legendary Nautilus submarine with Captain Nemo for an interactive journey of underwater exploration! The exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum, an Australian Government entity. Flying Fish manages the exhibit tour. It is locally sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.

The Butterfly Release, Asian-Pacific American Heritage Celebration, exhibits and all other activities are included with Museum admission.
