September Artist in Residence is Alejandro Perez.
Alejandro is a Cuban born Artist residing in Miami. He received his Fine Arts degree in 1992 from San Alejandro Fine Arts School in Havana Cuba. Alejandro’s biggest artistic influencers are mythology and human history. He believes mythology prevails in art and resonates in it across time and that art has the capacity to compress past and present. He uses texture as an element of time and history and nourishes with the power of visual codes, whether from advertising, popular culture or art history.
You can visit Ale in his studio at Warehouse 4726 in the Bird Road Arts District by appointment.
