The 22nd Annual Mayor’s Ball hosted by the honorable Daniella Levine Cava will take place on Saturday, June 17 at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.  The event marks Miami-Dade County Mayor Levine Cava’s second year as host and honorary chair of the Mayor’s Ball, which is expected to raise more than $1 million in support of United Way Miami and its mission to build a stronger Miami through education, financial stability, and health.

The theme of this year’s event is Y2UNITE and will take guests back to the start of the millennium with a new year’s style bash centered on unity. More than 700 of Miami-Dade County’s most influential business, civic and community leaders are expected to be in attendance for the annual event, which will focus on the importance of unity in building a stronger, more equitable and more prosperous Miami-Dade County. Since 1998, Miami-Dade County and United Way Miami have collaborated on the Mayor’s Ball to build a resilient and equitable community.

“It is an honor to be hosting the Mayor’s Ball once again in great partnership and to support the United Way of Miami,” shared Mayor Levine Cava. “This annual event brings leaders together from across sectors of our County to celebrate our resilience and give back to a trusted nonprofit that is committed to important issues and programs that help residents. Our focus this year doubles-down on my promise to unite Miami-Dade and bring leaders from all levels of government together to problem-solve and deliver for our community.”

Additionally, since taking office in 2020, Mayor Levine Cava has worked tirelessly to protect lives and livelihoods of residents throughout the pandemic.

“We are honored to be the beneficiary of the Mayor’s Ball and grateful to Mayor Levine Cava and Miami-Dade County for their longstanding partnership and commitment to helping the most vulnerable in our community,” said Symeria Hudson, President and CEO of United Way Miami. “This year’s focus on unity speaks directly to our mission of building a stronger Miami, together. We look forward to celebrating with our community leaders, corporate supporters and our incredible volunteer host committee who share in our mission. Thanks to the support of generous donors like those attending the Mayor’s Ball, we have been able to empower tens of thousands of community residents.”
